Anchor is the Men’s Fellowship of Family Worship Centre, Abuja, dedicated to the advancement of the men of our land to do exploits for the lord.

HISTORY

In 2004, Family Worship Centre, the Church arm of Family Ministries International created the Anchor Men’s Fellowship to foster closer relationships between the men of the church, to equip them for meaningful service, to reach unchurched men, and to present positive role models for our youth.

The Anchor has grown into an important connectional movement over the past few years and the Fellowship is becoming a true connectional ministry. The challenges and disturbing realities facing African men, especially Nigerians call for a response from the church.

To be a force for positive change in the life of Family Worship Centre and the world through active, holistic ministry to the Men in the church and beyond.

Our Mission:
• To lead Men to Christ and into active membership of Family Worship Centre.
• To help Men discover their purpose and to become truly successful in life.
• To help the Man fulfill his God ordained role in his family.
• To enable the Man strive for effectiveness in his community.
• To work with other subgroups within the church for the purpose of fulfilling the outreach vision of FWC.
• To actively pursue strategic relationship with organizations and groups with similar objectives as FWC.
• That everyman shall be accountable and open.

CONDITION FOR MEMBERSHIP
• MUST BE BORN AGAIN
• Must be a member of FWC
• Must belong to a Care Group with recommendation from his Care Group Deacon through his Care group leader
• Must have fulfilled all other recommended conditions

HOW TO REGISTER AS AN ANCHOR MEMBER

• Kindly approach the ‘Anchor desk’ at the foyer in every branch on Sundays
• Pick a registration form
• Complete and submit at the same desk or to the Anchor Branch/ District Rep.
• Get a lapel pin from the desk officer after payment of the token registration fee.

ACTIVITIES
• Prayer meetings, Business and Finance Seminars/ Conferences, Medical Outreaches, Football and other Sporting Activities, Entrepreneurship interventions, Business Breakfast Meetings, Annual Convention, Family Picnics, Networking Events, Mentorship sessions, etc.
